Self-Declaration of Accessibility
Introduction and Compliance Status
The website www.baiasantabarbara.it was not originally designed to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 – Level AA) and therefore does not currently fully meet the accessibility requirements established by the European legislation on digital accessibility (European Accessibility Act – EAA), in force as of June 28, 2025.
However, aware of the importance of ensuring equal access to digital content for all individuals, we are committed to a continuous improvement process to make the site as accessible as possible.
Scope of Application
This declaration applies to the website: https://www.baiasantabarbara.it/.
Current Accessibility Status
At present, the site has some accessibility barriers that may limit the experience of users with disabilities, such as:
- Missing descriptive labels for some interactive elements (buttons, links).
- Images without alternative (alt) text or with incomplete descriptions.
- Insufficient color contrast in certain areas.
- Navigation not always fully manageable by keyboard.
- Lack of screen reader support in some sections
These limitations are mainly due to the original structure of the site and the technology used, which did not incorporate accessibility criteria.
Commitment to Improve Accessibility
We recognize that digital accessibility is a right, not just a legal requirement. For this reason, we are committed to:
- Planning technical and design improvements to progressively enhance the site's accessibility.
- Regularly monitoring and updating content to comply with accessibility best practices.
- Training internal staff on digital accessibility topics.
- Consulting with experts and users with disabilities to test and validate improvements.
Declaration Drafting
This declaration was drafted on 30/06/2025.
The assessment was carried out through an internal self-evaluation, based on:
- Technical analysis using automated tools (Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights, Silktide, WAVE).
